Very excited about all the projects I’m working on at the moment.
I’m editing a music video for the song Sagar by Salman Ahmad, and directed by Karuna Tanahashi, in association with Scary Cow.
I am also in the middle of shooting The Templetons, another Scary Cow production, this one based on the comic book of the same name by Matt Voss. I’m directing this one, but that is just the beginning: we are shooting on “virtual sets”, entirely against a chroma green background. Since I’m also editing the piece, I’ll be pretty busy after we finish principal photography not only editing, but completing the effects filters, written in Apple Shake.
On top of all that, my espionage / crypto-metaphysics web serial I Work For Nemesis is in preproduction. I’m trying to keep the production pretty loose, which is weird for me. Much of the point of IW4N is the changing nature of the premise: I want to let it evolve as I develop the story.
- everything will be shot with the bare minimum of gear
- everything will be shot at a very fast pace, with “guerilla” speed – I want to maximise episode throughput. My goal is to accelerate to a top speed of 20 episodes in 2 months. Assuming we’re shooting mainly on weekends, that is about 2-3 episodes per weekend! Don’t worry, the episodes are short.
